Great for supporting half a calendar on fridge

These hold multiple pages quite well, much better than your garden variety fridge magnet. One or two in each corner hold the bottom part of a calendar on a fridge, although by December three are needed on each of the top corners.

Indispensable whiteboard Accessory

These are the perfect magnets for using on the whiteboard. This year I bought 5 sets. They are so good that I have to buy them again every school year...by year end most of them are loaned to other teachers to use on their whiteboards.

Magnetic

I have ordered multiple sets of these magnets. I've tried others only to see the poster/ document slowly slide down the board due to the weakness of the other brands' magnets. I will continue to order these for other teachers. Worth the price (to avoid the frustration!)

I bought these to use at school. They are very strong and will hold everything I need them to hold. I like them so well that I have ordered multiple sets to use at home and give as gifts.

Most useful classroom accessory

These magnets are the strongest of its size. I use them everywhere, e.g., white board, blinds, light fixtures, AC unit, etc. Anything I can hang something from gets a couple of these. I tie pretty ribbon from them and let decorations dangle. So cute and easily removable with no tape residue :)

Fantastic little magnets

I love these magnets. They are the first smaller-sized magnet that I found that actually can hold up posters. Everything else just slides right off the board!

I am a education consultant and am in hundreds of classrooms throughout the nation. I use these magnets to hold up a variety of charts and papers. So strong they can hold up a child. (Just kidding) really though, awesome magnets!

I love these magnets!

These magnets are awesome! Most magnets do not hold much weight on my whiteboard for some reason but these are fantastic! They hold up many sheets of paper or other thick materials. I can also use them to hold up pocket charts because they are small enough to fit through the grommets. Best magnets for classroom use- I just wish I had bought more than 1 pack!

Great for also holding hats, gloves, scarves, etc. onto a steel surface. I have an upright freezer in the garage...a good place to keep stuff I'll need outside.

This is actually the second time I have purchased these magnets. They are great. They hold up many charts at one time and are easy to replace in another area when needed.

YOU NEED THIS

THEY ARE THE ABSOLUTE BEST MAGNETS! I'VE LOOKED HIGH AND LOW FOR MAGNETS THIS STRONG IN HONOLULU, BUT NONE COULD BE FOUND TILL LAST YEAR. THEY ARE STILL NOT AS GOOD AS THESE MAGNETS THOUGH BECAUSE YOU CAN'T PICK THEM OFF THE BOARD AS EASILY. THESE NEODYUM MAGNETS HOLD THINGS SECURELY TO THE BOARDS - EVEN THICK POSTERS. I HAVE A COUPLE SETS FOR MY BOARDS AND HAVE GIVEN THEM TO OTHER TEACHERS AS GIFTS. THESE TEACHERS HAVE PURCHASED MORE FOR THEMSELVES.

NGSS

This product will support your students' understanding of the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS)*, as shown in the table below.

Elementary Middle School High School

K-PS2-1

Students can use the Magnet Holding Pegs to plan and conduct an investigation to compare the effects of different strengths or different directions of pushes and pulls on the motion of an object.

2-PS1-2

Students can use the Magnet Holding Pegs to investigate and analyze data obtained from testing different materials to determine which materials have properties that are best suited for an intended purpose.

3-PS2-4

Students can use the Magnet Holding Pegs define a simple design problem that can be solved by applying scientific ideas about magnets.

MS-PS2-3

Students can use the Magnet Holding Pegs to ask questions about data to determine the factors that affect the strength of magnetic forces.

MS-PS2-5

Students can use the Magnet Holding Pegs to conduct an investigation and evaluate the experimental design to provide evidence that fields exist between objects exerting forces on each other even though the objects are not in contact.

DCI-MS/PS1.A: Structure and Properties of Matter.

Each pure substance has characteristic physical and chemical properties that can be used to identify it.

DCI-MS/PS3.C: Relationship Between Energy and Forces.

When two objects interact, each one exerts a force on the other that can cause energy to be transferred to or from the object.

HS-PS3-5

The Magnet Holding Pegs can be used to develop and model how two objects interacting through magnetic fields, illustrates the forces between objects and the changes in energy of the objects due to the interaction.

HS-PS3-3

Students can use the Magnet Holding Pegs in the design of a device that works with given constraints to convert one form of energy into another form of energy.

Suggested Science Idea(s)

This magnet is an exceptionally strong magnet useful in any number of investigations, as well as securing posters on a white board.

K-PS2-1

Students can use the Magnet Holding Pegs and other types of magnets to plan and conduct an investigation on the strength of the pushes and pull and exert on objects.

2-PS1-2

Matter can be described and classified by its observable properties. Students can use the Magnet Holding Pegs to test for materials that are attracted to a magnet.

MS-PS2-5

The Magnet Holding Pegs is a wonderful tool to show the interaction of magnets without contact of those magnets.

HS-PS3-3

Students can use the Magnet Holding Pegs in the design of a device such as a Rube Goldberg machine. The shape and plastic is especially easy to grip and attach to other objects.

DCI-HS/PS2.B: Types of Interactions.

Investigations using the Magnet Holding Pegs will demonstrate the attraction and repulsion between electric charges at the atomic scale explain the structure, properties, and transformations of matter, as well as the contact forces between material objects.

S&E

Students can use the Magnet Holding Pegs to Develop a model to describe a phenomenon.
