Description

Robotics: BT Beginner is an ideal kit for the engineers and programmers of tomorrow! It contains over 380 pieces and enables students to build 12 different fun and functional models such as a hand dryer, carousel, level crossing, conveyor belt with stamping machine, and a mobile caterpillar machine. Students will learn about the interaction between hardware and software, actuators (XS motors, LED light barriers) and sensors (phototransistors, push buttons).

The BT Smart Controller with four inputs for sensors and two outputs for motors and lamps features a USB port and a Bluetooth 4.0 port. The downloadable ROBO Pro Light software lets students program the models quickly and easily. Models can also be programmed with an app designed for use with Android tablets. Software is compatible with Windows 7, 8, and 10 and Android. Not currently compatible with Mac or Chromebook.

Comprehensive programming instructions are available for free download on the fischertechnik eLearning portal (fischertechnik-elearning.com) to support the student's learning process. Models require a regular 9V battery (not included) but they can also be powered with the Accu Set (sold separately). The kit comes packed in a sturdy plastic storage box. We recommend one set for every two students. For ages 10+.

Note: Selected Bluetooth 4.0 sticks are required for Windows 7
