Watch this putty creep slowly toward the magnets!

Description

Ferromagnetic Silicone Putty
This silicone bouncing putty responds to the presence of a magnetic field. Place a blob near or between two strong magnets and watch what happens. Especially good attraction with our neodymium magnets. 1/5 lb (91 g). Comes with a magnet (style may vary).

Note: Videos show putty with our much larger M-195 Neodymium Magnet.

Was surprised to see that it was Aarons Thinking Putty, which is cheaper at a local store. The putty moves slower than shown in the Video, I think that the Video may contain warmer putty.

Owner Response: Mr. Gentry, I'm sorry you were confused by the video. In the opening frames it indicates that the time is 20x, so you're correct, it does not move as quickly in real time as it does in the video.

Great idea, but not a exciting as I would have wished.

First off, this is just Aaron's putty - nothing special or unique to here. I can actually get this material cheaper at a toy store near my house, so disappointed in that. Next, it works, but it is incredibly slow. I had really high hopes for this as a demo activity for science expos, but I haven't ever used it again.

This putty is so awesome! It totally swallows a strong magnet and thin strands are immediately attracted to it! LOVE IT!

This product looked exciting for various displays and I purchased the large size. It does migrate around strong magnets (I'm using neodymium) but I was disappointed overall as it is "overnight" sluggish and does not show magnetic fields the way I had expected.
