Description

This special cellophane tape exhibits brilliant colors when placed between two polarizing filters. When one filter is rotated, the colors change. Beautiful cellophane designs can be produced which can only be seen when placed between two polarizing filters. Kit includes two 2.75" x 2.75" polarizing filters to view effects. 37.5 feet of tape on each roll. Each filter is covered on both sides with a thin protective film which needs to be removed before use.

Gave them two pieces of polarizer and had them put tape on one. They (K and 1st) were entranced. Also, it's an activity where the more the better, which works well for the little ones.

This activity is awesome! I was teaching a unit on refraction and reflection and decided to try this tape between two polarizing filters. The kids were amazed!!!

May as well have been plain Scotch tape. Didn't do anything, no special effect at all. Total waste of money.

Owner Response: Only cellophane tape works with polarizing filters to exhibit the brilliant colors achieved by overlapping the tape and then rotating the filters. Scotch tape (or any non-cellophane tape) will not work with this activity.
